I was honored to be able to DJ for such a fine group. As a person I went away with such a great grasp on how important life is.

From campfire sing-a-longs and s’mores, to boating, nature walks, swimming, arts and crafts and sleeping under the stars, Camp Hemlocks provides the same excitement and activities available in a traditional summer camp. The difference? Camp Hemlocks campers experience the joys and challenges of camp in a fully accessible setting with trained staff providing physical, social and emotional care.

Camp Hemlocks is a fully accessible, natural, modern, barrier-free facility located on 100 acres of unspoiled woodlands surrounding Jones Pond in Hebron, Connecticut, located 20 miles south east of Hartford. Campers choose from a wide variety of social, recreational and educational activities during their stay. Favorite activities include talent shows, arts and crafts, outdoor living skills, boating and fishing, a challenge course, and climbing tower. Swimming is also an integral part in the camp experience. Campers are encouraged, sometimes for the first time in their lives, to move without restriction in our fully accessible, heated indoor pool.

The crowd was so happy and really appreciated my work. We did line dances like the Cha Cha slide and we all had a great day.
